Page 3 of 8 Secondly, there has been the redefining of four key areas in traditional thinking concening morality and spirituality. -
1.AUTHORITY- now there is no absolute authority in God, Holy Scriptures of any religion , or anyone else but only in yourself, science etc. You are god. Problem: How can you trust your own authority, opinion or judgement to be totally perfect? After all we are all biased, have prejudices and blind spots. Therefore it would seem we need a higher authority than ourselves -
2.LOVE that is sexual is not just between one man and woman in marriage, but can be between man and man, woman and woman, and even adult and child. Problem: the law of nature shows us that the predominant sexual activity is the male and female and that their sexual parts are made to fit together. As well those who have sex outside of marriage are shown to be more unstable in their relationships with a much higher risk of unwanted prenancies, abortins and sexual diseases. than compared to those who are in one lifelong relationship of marriage. . -
3.SEX is a need, not just for procreation, but for pleasure. Without sexual release, you will not be normal. Perhaps you will die if you don’t have sex! You can have many sexual partners and only women need to be pure when they come to marriage. Problem:a need is something like water, food or shelter without which we would die. So sex is not such a need. It is not even necessary for it to keep the population going as women can have intravenous fertilisation (IVF) to become pregnant. In fact, sex is more a desire than area of need.
